Introduction

We are looking for somebody who has extensive architecture, design and development experience to join our team. In our team we develop digital business solutions for passengers in the airport such as smart queueing systems and lounge access and -sales. Also we develop solutions to enable passengers to enjoy smooth travel, for instance to make all documents required for check-in and country entry digitally available to passengers, airline and airport.

Furthermore in our department all systems required for employee travel (leisure & duty) are developed and maintained.
 

What are you going to do?

You will be making reference architectures for important business innovations. These reference architectures will be guiding for both business- and IT colleagues, and you will explain these also in business concepts, and translate them into implementation designs consisting of API’s, services, business rules, information- and data models and coding.
You will indicate the impact on the IT systems of the various business innovations to the business owners. You will inform business and IT management which technical changes are needed for security, LCM, performance and developments in the IT industry.
You will have regular consultations with business, project architects analists and technical leads. You will present architectural changes to an architecture team consisting of Operations, Security, colleague architects in the commercial domain and enterprise architects.
 

Where do you land?

You will be part of the KLM department in the Organiser Marketing in IT Development, consisting of developers, architects, engineers, analists and testers. There is extensive contribution from people from TCS, both onsite and offshore.
The teams are located in HQ and the Roemer. The teams are agile teams with people from IT, IMO and business (Digital).
You will report hierarchically to the Group Manager.
 

Your profile

Next to programming languages as Java, Typescript/Javascript, you will also be experienced in UML and preferably Archimate or comparable modelling tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect. You will have experience in Web technology, REST, XML, SOAP, Messaging, Micro Service Architecture, Kubernetes, KAFKA. It is a plus if you are certified as Azure architect and/or  developer, or at least willing to follow the trainings for Azure. You have experience in Agile teams according to thw SAFE method.
As Commercial Software Engineer level 4 you will have an overview over the divers AFKL business processes and applications in our domain. It is a plus if you have knowledge of airline processes and systems in the airline industry.

There is a strong preference for candidates who have EU residency or for those who already are allowed to work in the EU.
