What are you going to do?

As a Front-end Engineer, you will apply your skills to build new, innovative tools for truly data-driven airline network planning.
We value both technical ability (analysis, design & architecture, engineering, quality assurance, and DevOps) as well as the interpersonal parts of the job (coaching, consulting, coordination, and support).
 

Where do you land?

Business platforms are at the core of KLM Data & Technology. You start in business platform Integral Planning & Control. Your team is in the Netherlands in Amstelveen, and Schiphol Oost. We aim to meet in the office three days per week, where we do take into account each others personal circumstances.

Your profile

You're an imaginative builder, skilled in communication, and motivated to take decisive action. Leadership comes naturally to you, stepping up when needed. You prioritize creating a nurturing space where everyone feels secure and empowered.

Also you have:

- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, or similar experience;
- 4+ years of experience in developing, maintaining and deploying software; (must have)
- 2+ years of experience with React (NextJS), state management and CSS; (must have)
- experience with consuming APIs and knowledge of REST API best practices; (must have)
- experience in organisation with multiple front-enders;
- experience in graphical data visualization;
- knowledge on type systems (and being able to apply types) and automated testing;
- knowledge of CI/CD techniques;
- honest communication skills, written and spoken (English);
- and EU resident and/or authorised to work in the EU (mandatory).

In addition, the following skills are nice to have:

- Experience with (applying) UX design;
- experience with cloud technology;
- experience in working in a team;
- and experience with storybook.
