Connecting your world

As a Data Engineer Business Intelligence - Asset Insights, ensuring critical asset data drives operational decisions and supports Schiphol’s smooth, efficient airport experience. How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you can distinguish between main and secondary issues and make connections. You put your talents to work at:

• Designing and optimizing backend data solutions for asset performance insights.
• Automating and validating calculations for operational metrics like MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
• Integrating new data sources and improving data quality.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to align on metric definitions and logic.
• Supporting a data-driven approach to asset management at Schiphol.

You’ll join the Data Engineering Centre of Excellence, collaborating with over 20 experienced peers. Expect a flexible workplace at home, in the office, or at Schiphol itself. Many projects have a visible, real-world impact on airport operations and passenger experience.

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer in a data warehouse environment.
• At least 3 years of proven experience with dimensional and data modeling.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven hands-on experience with SQL/ETL.
• Experience with Databricks and Git (Azure DevOps).
• Strong interest in data analysis and metric design; identifying trends and anomalies and translating them into reliable data models; aligning with stakeholders.

• € 4981 to € 6911 gross per month (Schaal 12).
• A 13th month (year-end bonus).
• The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
• An NS Business Card that fully reimburses travel by public transportation to and from work.
