Connecting your world
As a Java Backend Developer you will build and support mission-critical platform services for optimal information processing for export, import, logistics and customs processes within air freight. How you achieve results in this? That’s up to you. We trust in the way you can distinguish between main and secondary issues and make connections. You put your talents to work at:
- Developing new platform services as well as maintaining existing ones.
- Developing applications within Docker containers that run on OpenShift.
- Operating with a DevOps mindset by actively monitoring and supporting the platform.
Cargonaut serves as the central hub for all cargo-related information. We take responsibility for the quality, storage, and exchange of freight data across the logistics sector. Several platform components are being replaced by new middleware, database technologies and the infrastructure must be made hybrid cloud-ready (i.e. containerisation). We are looking for someone who will help us realize our vision: to become the world’s best digital airport.

- 7 years of relevant experience as a Backend Engineer in the tech sector.
- A strong preference for Java as programming language (Java is our programming language).
- Experience with Git, OpenShift, Azure DevOps, Docker, SQL and Jira.
- Some experience with Splunk is a plus.
- A get-things-done mentality and familiarity with Agile ways of working.
- Strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities.

- € 4981 to € 6911 gross per month (Schaal 12).A 13th month (year-end bonus).
- The possibility to work 4 x 9 hours in a 36-hour work week.
