Introduction

Do you want to gain experience in a challenging financial environment within one of the biggest airlines of the world? Do you want to coordinate business escalations for Direct Operating Cost and strategically advise senior management of Flight Operations? This is your chance to do an internship at Air-France KLM Flight operations and the business analysis team (team: Passenger Business Finance). 

What are you going to do?

Your task will be to connect the business in Amsterdam and the operational team in Budapest and coordinate escalations from suppliers that can potentially disrupt our flight operations and proactively contribute to process efficiency improvements such as the invoice process. Additionally, you will critically analyze the Direct Operating cost process and pro-actively improve the efficiency of this process. 

Next to that, you will support business analysis on the decision-making process of Air Traffic management by connecting multiple digital data sources to developed insightful managerial information. For this activity you will liaise with the Flight Operations Procurement Director 

Where do you land?

You will be part of the Flight Operations Finance Control team, in the KLM Operations Control Center, and the business analysis team from Passenger Business, at the KLM Headquarters. The Flight Operations Finance Control team closely cooperates with the business such as Air Traffic Management and Crew Training department. These units are vital for ensuring the reliability of the Air France-KLM air transportation system and the efficiency of the flight operation. 

You will also remotely work with our Financial Business Service Center located in Budapest. This team consists of approximately 20 colleagues and oversees the timely processing and payment of all Direct Operating Cost invoices. This means you can expect a diverse and international environment. 

Your profile

You are a college or university student in the field of business management or another affiliated study in finance. We work in a hybrid environment, so we work 50% from home and 50% in the office. 

You have financial and data analysis skills and can easily adapt to multiple teams and personalities. Working in teams or independently is not a problem for you and you are well acquainted with MS-office tools, namely excel and power point. Furthermore, you have a developed strategic thinking and strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Lastly, you are proactive, accurate, energetic, result-oriented and capable of combining these skills with the practical implementation.  

Finally, you should be available to start your internship in the beginning of March for a period of at least 20 weeks, 4-5 days a week.
