For the Netherlands, we are looking for a talented new team member to join the finance team which will be fundamental to improving the internal control framework, strengthening the financial control, and increasing performance management. Job Summary:

We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Controller who is eager to take the next step om their career. In this role, you’ll be working in the country's accounting team. Your responsibilities include support in the monthly close process, preparing and loading monthly figures in the group systems, and support in preparing monthly reports. In this role you’ll be reporting to the Finance Manager.

As a Controller, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of Swissport. Your responsibilities will include:

Monthly Financial Close and Accrual Process:

  • Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.

Intercompany Reconciliations:

  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations to ensure proper elimination in consolidated financial statements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve intercompany discrepancies.

Payment Batches:

  • Prepare, review, and process payment batches, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment-related issues.

Asset Register:

  • Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the company's asset register.
  • Perform periodic reviews and reconciliations of fixed assets.

Adhoc Financial Requests:

  • Respond to adhoc financial inquiries and requests from management, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist in financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • MBO degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP and OneStream is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch.

What do we offer?

  • A 1-year contract with a one-month trial period, followed by an extension for an indefinite period;
  • a salary from €3,500 per month;
