What will you do?You will become an important member of the team focused on making the organization data-driven and future-proof. As a working intern Data Analyst, you will be involved in collecting and analyzing data that is crucial to the performance of our products and processes. You will support decision-making with data-driven insights and help the team interpret results. No two days will be the same!
- Formulating business requirements with various stakeholders and translating them into technical/data requirements;
- Collecting, analyzing, and visualizing valuable data insights;
- Working with programming and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and Power BI;
- Developing reports and dashboards to optimize business processes;
- Collaborating with different departments to translate data insights into practical solutions;
- Supporting the implementation of data-driven decision-making.
Where do you land?You will be based at Schiphol-East, specifically in Building 410 Engine Services. Engine Services is one of the three units within Engineering & Maintenance and focuses on engine maintenance and the repair of engine components. You will become part of the Data Management & Analytics team within the Data, Transformation & Continuous Improvement department, where work is being done on digitalization, data management, process improvements, and sustainability, among other things. Together with the Data Management & Analytics team, you will make an important contribution by strengthening decision-making with data-driven insights and thereby increasing the success of Engine Services.
Your profileWe are looking for a WO- or HBO student with a passion for data and the drive to make a difference in the aviation industry. You have an academic background in Data Science, Business Analytics, or a similar field of study. This is a working internship.
You are analytically strong, proactive, and solution-oriented. You quickly identify bottlenecks using SQL and/or Python and communicate your advice clearly. You can easily switch between different tasks and are able to turn data into visual insights in Power BI. You have strong communication skills and can present complex data in an understandable way.
You are available 4–5 days per week for a period of 5–6 months from 1st of september onwards. If you would like to do your internship for a longer period, that is also possible! Working from home is, of course, an option, but given the nature of the role and the fact that we are setting up a new way of working, there is also a strong focus on working on-site.
