What will you do?As a Network expert in the Connectivity team, you’ll be responsible for running and supporting core IT services within LAN, Wi-Fi, and mobile data domains. Your focus will be on corporate assets and ensuring smooth daily operations through change, incident, and problem management (2nd/3rd line support). You’ll also contribute to business and technical projects, and help improve internal processes.
Key responsibilities: • Manage and support LAN/Wi-Fi/mobile data infrastructure services;• Handle change, incident, problem, and request management;• Design, develop, install, and configure infrastructure solutions;• Collaborate with product owners and document procedures;• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;• Analyze and propose solutions for synergy across telecom services;• Work closely with vendors and internal teams in the Netherlands and France.
Where do you land?You will land within the Connectivity department, which is an AFKL Telecoms engineering department responsible for:
- Mobile connectivity services and infrastructure (Wi-Fi, 3G/4G/5G);
- Connected objects/IoT, including connected aircrafts;
- Wired LAN connectivity;
- Internal network security (WAN, DCLAN, LAN, etc.) and telecommunications systems (video conferencing, telephony, etc.).
The missions of its teams are to:
- Develop, industrialize, and support network connectivity solutions and connected objects;
- Lead technical projects aimed at implementing future network connectivity and security infrastructures at the request of the CISO (Chief Information Security Officer);
- Contribute to business projects implementing mobile, wired, or IoT connectivity.
This department is distributed across three locations: Amsterdam Schiphol, Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport and Toulouse.Its scope of action is cross-functional and requires collaboration with numerous IT teams to provide connectivity services to all Air France KLM Group employees. Your official office is located at our Point of View building, which is located at Schiphol-Rijk.
Your profile- A technical expert with a strong IT/networking background
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience;
- You hold a master degree or have graduated from an Engineering school;
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum (moving toward SAFe);
- Proactive, innovative, bringing a technical vision and eager to learn new technologies;
- Able to contribute to design of technical projects and evaluate architectural impacts;
- A team player with strong communication and organizational skills. Sense of customer service and respect of commitments are key factors of success;
- Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus.
