Role Purpose
The position of ramp safety & quality coordinator will be responsible for all matters relating to safety and quality on the ramp at Schiphol Airport for Menzies Aviation. You will undertake daily quality inspections to monitor and measure safety compliance against internal & external safety standards. You will be responsible for entering all accidents & Incidents into MORSE (Safety Reporting Tool), conduct investigations and follow-up on any outstanding items as defined. Overall, you will work with the station manager to ensure and secure operation for all our employees and airline customers.
Main accountabilities include:
- Support the Business Unit Manager in maintaining compliance by ensuring a safe and secure operations.
- Maintain and enhance a safe and secure culture across all airside operational departments
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers to comply with the Company's Policy and Health and Safety regulations
- Ensure that the local emergency response protocols and procedures are current in accordance with Menzies instructions.
- Deliver regular safety briefings and produce safety bulletins.
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigations and health and safety inspections.
- Participate in regular station meetings to communicate any emerging trends or risks to Station Management and discuss relevant Safety and Security matters.
- Assist in the Ground Service Equipment maintenance program and/or supervision
- Support and facilitate internal & external audit programme
- Carry out other duties and when requested by the Regional Safety and Compliance Manager or Station Manager

Candidate requirements
- Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience within aviation (i.e - Ground Handling, Freighter, Cargo, Airline or Airport Operations)
- Good knowledge and understanding Ground Operations
- Computer literate with good planning and analytical skills with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to represent both Menzies Aviation and Customer Airlines at a high level.
- Demonstrates ability to remain calm under pressure, work to deadlines and respond quickly to situations and to take the initiative.
- Prepared to work outside for long areas and be flexible if working shifts, including weekends as necessary.
- Actively promote a just and fair reporting culture through MORSE at all levels of the business.
