Let’s make airports better—together! 

At Royal Schiphol Group, we’re working toward a big goal: creating an airport for the future. To get there, we need bold ideas, fresh perspectives, and a whole lot of innovation.

That’s where you come in. Every summer, our Innovation Hub runs an internship program that gives students the chance to dive into the world of aviation and get hands-on with real challenges. And this year, we’re focusing on what matters most: the people who travel through our airport. 

So, here’s the big question we’ll be working on: How can we make the passenger experience easier, friendlier, and more enjoyable?

🚀 What you’ll get to do 

• Take a deep dive into the airport and specific topics that can be improved  
• Think up new ways to solve those pain points—no idea is too crazy
• ⁠Design a simple test to bring your idea to life
• Pitch your concept to real Schiphol stakeholders
• Meet tons of great people and grow your professional network 

✈️ What’s the internship like? 

It’s a fast-paced, fun, one-month program where you’ll get to see how Schiphol really works—from behind the scenes. You’ll work with support from innovation experts and airport staff to spot opportunities for improvement and come up with creative solutions. 

You’ll learn by doing. That means talking to the people on the ground, wearing multiple hats, coming up with ideas, filtering by value, testing them, and pitching to the team. 

No two days are the same—and that’s the best part.

You’re someone who: 

• Loves solving problems and thinking differently. We love good-weird.
• Brings positive energy and curiosity to the table
• Isn’t afraid of a little chaos (airports = complex!)
• Asks questions, shares thoughts, and loves learning
• Is honest, open, and excited to collaborate
• Has EU citizenship (Lives in the Netherlands)
