What will you do?
You will be part of our team of Contract Managers. As Contract Manager within operations, based in Amsterdam, you will be responsible for managing multiple customer service contracts across Europe. You will act as a strategic partner to our customers, helping them enhance their competitive position in the dynamic landscape of Warehouse, Parcel, and Airport Baggage Automation.
You will hold profit and loss responsibility for a portfolio of customers and focus on building strong, long-term relationships. Your role involves identifying and developing new opportunities that create mutual value for both Vanderlande and our customers, ensuring service excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you are responsible for the daily back-office administration of service contracts, using a range of digital tools. You manage your assigned contracts with full profit-and-loss responsibility, ensuring they are carefully implemented, analyzed, and optimized. Acting as the customer’s representative within the organization, you serve as their voice internally while also supporting them during incidents together with our global service team, investigating issues and identifying root causes.
Beyond operational support, you also take ownership of after-market sales by discussing investment cycles with customers and developing life-cycle plans that fit both their current business and future needs. Part of your role is to monitor external service suppliers, making sure they deliver high-quality services within a cost-effective budget.
You work closely with colleagues across Vanderlande worldwide to guarantee a smooth transition from project delivery to long-term service operations. In addition, you collaborate with the sales team to prepare and create service contracts that align with customer expectations and business goals.
Qualifications
- Completed degree in business, engineering, logistics, or related field
- Proficient years of work experience in service or contract management,
- ideally in a technical or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of P&L responsibility and financial performance
- Skilled in using digital tools for contract administration
- Familiarity with after-sales and lifecycle planning, preferably including the management of third-party service providers
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills, including the ability to coordinate across internal teams and global stakeholders
- Continuous improvement mindset and a hands-on mentality, not afraid to take content deep dive
- Fluent in Dutch language

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4180 to € 5675 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale. On top of your fixed salary you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
